ARE YOU OR SOMEONE YOU KNOW GRIEVING THE LOSS OF A LOVED ONE?
Transforming Grief in the Holidays
Sunday, November 13th, 1:00 – 6:00 p.m., $60
No previous art experience necessary. Includes materials, RSVP.
The holidays can be a tough time when grieving the loss of a loved one, whether the death is recent or long ago. In this art retreat you will have the opportunity to identify and work with the gifts your loved one has left you. We will also focus on self-care and strategies for the holidays that will honor your loved one and yourself during these tender times.
In a safe and supportive setting you will:
• Explore the gifts your loved one has left you.
• Look at how you can more consciously integrate those gifts into your life.
• Create a gift to honor your loved one and the place you hold for them in your heart.
• Be with other grieving people and learn from each other.
• Identify what could be helpful for you to navigate the holidays and your grief.
• Take a day for yourself before the holidays get too hectic.
Artmaking in itself can be a retreat, a place to lose oneself in a creative endeavor. We will use VERY SIMPLE art making processes so don’t worry, NO PREVIOUS ART EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY!
