Bodies Unbound is the story of a woman who leaves a convent, where she went to escape the pain of her life, and discovers the sacredness of ordinary experience and the wisdom of the flesh by being a Masseuse. It is a story of healing, it is humorous and touching. Written and performed by Cynthia Waring Matthews who has given over 30,000 massages in the past thirty-five years and based on her book Bodies Unbound. This is a powerful resource for anyone who works in the healing professions or has experienced trauma in their own body. Body Unbound comes to San Diego after Los Angeles, New York, Scotland (at the Edinburgh Theater Festival), Esalen, Ojai, and Boulder.

In this class you will explore authentic themes that may be hidden when you begin to write. This allows for many surprises, which will enhance the enjoyment of the process of writing. Facilitator Cynthia Waring Matthews, author of Bodies Unbound, and a one-woman show based on her book, has been teaching writing for over twenty years. Her unique style has encouraged writers at all levels of skill to find what they most need to express. Group size will be limited, RSVP.
