Expressive Arts Studio Celebrates 15 Years of Helping and Healing Through the Arts

San Diego, CA — [October 27, 2025] — Expressive Arts @ 32nd & Thorn is thrilled to mark its 15-year anniversary with a community celebration at its North Park studio.

Since opening its doors in 2010, the studio, founded by Tish McAllise Sjoberg, Expressive Arts Therapist, has become a welcoming hub for people of all ages to explore creativity as a path to self-discovery and transformation. The studio offers workshops, groups, and individual sessions that combine visual arts, movement, writing, drama, and music—all in a safe and judgment-free space.

“Creativity is such a powerful tool for healing, growth, and connecting with a sense of play,” says Tish McAllise Sjoberg. “It’s been a joy to make art and explore creativity alongside the North Park community for the last fifteen years.”

The event also marks the opening of the studio’s latest show “Daily Art—A Life-Giving Practice,” a showcase of vibrant work born from artists who show up to a Creative Practice for five minutes or more each day. Whether you’re an artist, therapist, or curious community member, the event offers an opportunity to check out the studio, connect with others, and get creative yourself.
